Given how many times I fall off an SUP and how fast they can float away from me, I personally consider a tether a must.

This one has an elastic portion to it so you won't feel any jarring or shocks when you do fall off, speaking for myself of course!

It attached around your ankle or lower leg, with the material being a soft neoprene like material. It is firmly secured in place with hook and loop.
