Personally, I found the original seat a bit lacking in both comfort and support, and this upgrade kit is a noticeable improvement over the older design.

During the 2025 season, when the new seat was released, I spoke with many Delta customers, and nearly all chose to upgrade to the new seat design.

I also upgraded both our shop demo boats and my personal boats and can say the installation is quite straightforward—the kit includes clear instructions and all required hardware, with the only exception being the need for a tool to drill holes in the seat pan.
